Aracena and Rio Tinto Tour- an incredible day trip

In this day trip you will discover how women in the small villages in the Sierra de Huelva mountains still go down to the “Lavadero” to wash their clothes, a costum that has been going for a century. You will then go to the Ham museum in Aracena, where you will have some of the best “jamón ibérico” in the world! Then you will visit an incredible cave system where the biggest cave is the size of Westminster cathedral in the UK. For lunch you will try some of the local product, different flavours and aromas for you to fall in love with! In the afternoon you will go to Rio Tinto, the small mining town where the British used to mine cooper and where the mining giant Rio Tinto Zinc originated. You will then visit the mine museum, it’s a place steeped in English history that most people know very little about. It’s a really exciting and new experience that you will not forget for years- have fun!:)

Visiting Sevilla on a bike is great fun!:)

Sevilla is a beautiful city full of interesting neighbourhoods, museums and historical sights. So what better way to see the city than on a bike tour? Lose yourself in streets where the passage of time appears to have stopped. Take the time to enjoy the river, the magnificent parks, the  Mediterranean food and especially the weather.

There are a number of different routes you can choose from to view this magnificent city. Sevilla is especially attractive to view by bike, as it is completely flat, so you do not need to overly exert yourself. It doesn’t get much better than this, does it?:)

During your experience, you will be told how the various wines are made and which wine goes best with which foods. You will get the chance to taste fine wines combined with delicious food,  all rounded off by some typical desserts. Also, your experience will include teaching you how to differentiate “drinking” a wine to actually “tasting” it. Finally your experience can also include other quality red and white wines from around Spain. The choice is yours!

This is a great way to discover new and exquisite wines from Spain, each leaving a unique aroma in your mouth…it’s truly a great experience!

Feria de Abril- amazing, but not everyone’s cup of tea…

The Feria de Abril is a great time to see what many consider the typical Andalucia- sherry, Sevillanas, toros, flamenco dresses and horses. Giving the people who live in the center a break after trampling through their streets for a solid week in Semana Santa, the Feria takes place on the other side of the river and breathes a little life into Los Remedios. The Feria is not for everyone, and deciding on whether to attend during the night (party time) or day (horse and children time) can significantly change your opinion of the event.

But if you like fairs and local parties, this is perfect for you because every single minute of the day has a blast of new and fun activities for everyone. As you walk around the area you will discover an exciting Sevilla.

If you like the sound of this, come to Sevilla in April (after Semana Santa) and you will find half the city filled with these fairs and you’ll see why everyone goes on about it…
